Hi, my name is Dmitry and i am living in Da Nang Vietnam. From an early age, I have been passionate about long-distance running, and this passion has become a significant part of my life. Over the years, I have followed a journey full of achievements and transformations, which I would like to share withe you.
After career in sales in 2018 was a turning point for me. Sitting in my office, I noticed my stomach pushing against my belt. It was a wake-up call. Returning home and looking at myself in the mirror, I saw someone I could barely recognize. That was the moment I decided it was time to change my life. I started running regularly again. Day by day, I enjoyed being in motion, feeling my body regain its shape and my mind becoming clearer.
In 2021, I incorporated swimming into my fitness routine. It was a challenging but rewarding journey, as I developed new skills and improved my endurance. Gradually, I became fascinated with open water swimming. Over the years, I have completed hundreds of kilometers in open water and even more in pools, participating in various competitions and amateur swims.
The year 2022 marked a period of change and new opportunities. I moved to Kazakhstan, to the beautiful city of Almaty, known for its vibrant sports community. It was an incredible year: nearly every weekend, I participated in eventsโrunning races, swims, duathlons, aquathlons, sprint triathlons, and even half-ironman triathlons. I gained extensive experience, collaborated with experts, and trained with three different swimming coaches, each sharing unique approaches and philosophies. Additionally, I delved into literature on triathlon, running, swimming, biomechanics, and the human bodyโs adaptation to endurance sports.
My goal is to constantly deepen my knowledge. I took the USA SWIMMING course to become a certified swim coach. I currently have and continue to improve my knowledge in the World Triathlon Organization. This step became an important part of my journey towards realizing my dream.
Ambitious plans for 2026

<aside> What a coach I am
As a coach, I bring extensive experience and dedication to my work with athletes. I have completed courses at the American Swimming Academy and hold USASwimming swimming coach certifications. Additionally, I have trained in safety and health through the SafetySport program. Currently, I am pursuing a Level 1 Triathlon Coach certification. My personal training experience includes 330-360 hours per year, during which I have run 7,200 kilometers, swum 850 kilometers in open water, and trained for a year at mid-altitude (1,200-1,400 meters above sea level).
I am passionate about endurance sports and regularly study scientific articles and literature on triathlon, running, swimming, and biomechanics. This knowledge forms the foundation of my coaching philosophy, which emphasizes safety, personalized guidance, and building trust with every athlete.
My coaching principles are grounded in the questions: "How can I be most useful?" and "Do no harm." These principles help me train athletes safely and effectively. I always evaluate both my capabilities and those of my athletes realistically. My experience as a sales department leader has taught me to communicate complex ideas in simple terms, motivate individuals uniquely, and build trusting relationships.
In the future, my goals include establishing a triathlon school in Da Nang, deepening my knowledge in sports education, and creating a community hub where endurance sports enthusiasts can connect, inspire each other, and achieve their goals. I am committed to helping others reach their potential, turning challenges into victories, and celebrating every milestone along the way.
